Wagner Martins
MrManson, or Wagner Martins is 28 years old. In December 2000, while still na economics student, he created the Cocadaboa website , where he reproduced the tradicional “bar talks” he had with his friends. Noticing the way that people forwarded chain mail and news online without the least bit of criteria, the website started to create rumors.
It didn’t take long for many of those to spread as truth and dupe many famous journalists, exposing the fragility of the media. Practically all newsrooms, online or offline, have been fooled by Cocadaboa, publishing some false news. After becoming famous spreading foolishness around the web, he became a citizen of good and started working on the “Spread Guerilla Marketing” project (blog), where he does the same thing he did on Cocadaboa (create word of mouth buzz and spontaneous media) around publicity campaigns.
