Rogério    da    Costa

Aside from being a philosopher, Rogério da Costa is a systems enginner, a Doctor in Philosophy through the University of Paris IV, Sorbonne, Master in Philosophy from USP, and a professor ath the Communication and Semiotics Post-Graduate Program at PUCSP.
He is a researcher in the “Web Semântics” project from the University of Ottawa, Canada, lead by Pierre Lévy and researcher through CNPq with the “Collective Intelligence” project. He ran the Information Methodologies and Technologies section at BIREME/OPAS/OMS and was a Technology Consultant at PUCSP. He published “Digital Cultura “, ed. Publifolha, col. Folha- Explica and an article on the Interface Magazine, v.9, n.17 - “For a new community concept: social networs, personal communities, and collective intelligence”, available online.

As of now, he is an Assistant Doctor at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. He Coordinates the Collective Intelligence Lab (LinC), consulting for the Government, companies, and third sector organizations. LinC is comprised of a group of consultants and researchers that offer strategic support for groups, communities, organizations and people interested in developing projects and abilities for the establishment of relationship networks. LInC helps build the necessary dialogue and actions to create the sustainability of the goals of the social project promoters. Its approach is at the same time ethical-political, philosophical, and communicational.
