Mauro Rubens da Silva, aside from acting as a VJ with his own software (VJ LAB), created based on his Clinical Psychology masters at PUC-SP with the theme “Uses of Virtual Reality in Clinical Psychology”(2001), and starting in June 2005, he also started making his own music, created the Mandala DVD.

He starts as the in-house VJ at BLEN BLEN in 2003, with the Gran Master Ney, Cláudio Costa, and SJay DJs, and performs at places such as “Na Mata Café” with the french DJ Mustafá, at “Lucky Disco” with DJ Mystical, at the Festival Internacional de Linguages Eletrönicas (FILE - International Electronic Languages Festival) with Pedra Branca and DJ Eric Marke, aside from participations at night clubs such as Ultra Lounge, Rose Bom Bom, Lov.e, and raves such as Kumbaya, and others.

Among other activities, he helped organized the VJBR1 at Museu da Imagem e do Som (MIS - Image and Sound Museum), running workshops, and also worked at Breakcore, at the TEMP activist core, also having performed at both events. He also participated in the Útero collective, exploring the concept of performance, and, at Tuxx, exploring open source software (OSS) - at the 2004 FILE. on the VJBR#1 DVD (2005), he participated, alongside 19 electronic artists and collectives, creating music and images. in 2006, he created the “Videos on cellphones - Mobile VJs” Orkut community, and qualifies for the Festival Bahia Celular Filmes and received an award at the Festival Gradiente/Trama Clipmobile - 2007.
