Maurício    Hirata

Master in Cinema through the University of São Paulo, he has acted as director and photography director in short movies, documentarys, and vídeo-clips. As a photographer, he develops personal projects. He had his first solo exhibit, entitled Slices, at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil - São Paulo in 2000. He was the director and art director of Sinopse Magazine, a movie magazine edited by the cinema department at USP. He was the Curator of the 30 anos de Prêmio Estímulo movie festival – promoted by the Secretaria de Estado da Cultura de São Paulo and the Museum of Image and Sound - MIS in 2003; and Photography in the Brazilian Cinema made by the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil - São Paulo in the same year. Currently, he is the Executive Coordinator of the Fomento à Produção e Teledifusão do Documentário Brasileiro – DOCTV project.
