Eva Weber

Eva Weber

Eva Weber is currently working as freelance director in London. The intimacy of strangers” is her second documentary, building on her previous, award-wining work in fiction and as director for the BBC. Her earlier films have been broadcast on Channel 4 and FilmFour, and have screened at numerous international film festivals, such as Edinburgh International Film festival, Cinema Jove and Tampere short film festival.

The intimacy of strangers was made as part of the project development lab, a one-year advanced program at the National Film and Television School (UK) Prior to joining the NFTS, Eva worked as one of six in-house directors at BBC broadcast, writing and directing numerous promos, sponsorships and commercials for the BBC and advertising companies.

Whilst versatile in form, all her work is underpinned by a deep sense of humanity for the characters and subjects. Speaking of isolation and disaffection, Eva’s films challenge the viewer to question and reflect on their own lives. Eva is currently developing a number of new drama and documentary projects, including a feature-length dramatized version of “The Intimacy of Strangers”.
