FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE ARTE E CRIATIVIDADE MOVEL

O Mobilefest – Festival Internacional de Arte e Criatividade Móvel é um evento que busca questionar e discutir o advento das novas tecnologias móveis em suas relações com os mais diversos âmbitos da sociedade, constituindo-se no primeiro Festival Internacional do gênero. O objetivo principal é proporcionar um ambiente multifacetado e heterogêneo de discussões, ações e criações que visem, através das virtualidades das novas tecnologias móveis, soluções inteligentes para a resolução ou mesmo discussão das questões que afligem as sociedades contemporâneas. O empenho do evento sobre as novas tecnologias de comunicação é baseado na percepção de seu crescimento exponencial – são mais de 3 bilhões de celulares ativos no mundo atualmente - e de sua crescente utilização não só para a comunicação entre as pessoas, mas em atividades de educação, inclusão social, produções artísticas variadas, entretenimento, segurança, produção e distribuição de conteúdos, conformação de redes de sociabilidade, ações ativistas, saúde, comércio, publicidade, etc.

HISTÓRICO
O I Mobilefest foi lançado em novembro de 2006, a partir do seminário internacional, realizado em São Paulo, no Sesc Paulista, com transmissão ao vivo e gratuita pela Internet.Em sua primeira edição, discutiu as implicações sociais, culturais e estéticas que os celulares e as tecnologias móveis vêm promovendo em escala global.O Festival abordou através de seu seminário internacional, os principais delineamentos das relações entre tecnologias móveis (como celulares, handhelds, etc.) e os diversos âmbitos da sociedade enumerados acima. Além das atividades de discussão, o evento, composto por atividades culturais e técnicas, incluiu também mostra expositiva internacional.

O Seminário contou com a participação de 14 artistas e pesquisadores estrangeiros e 20 artistas e especialistas brasileiros. O II Mobilefest (2007) reuniu artistas, pesquisadores e palestrantes de vários países Foram 5 dias de seminários, 2 de bootcamp e 30 dias de mostra expositiva na Galeria do Sesc Paulista. Com o crescimento de sua programação, a grande novidade foi a realização de eventos simultâneos na Inglaterra (Westminster University), na Holanda (The Waag Society) e no Estados Unidos (New York University - ITP) através de videoconferências e encontros presenciais nestes países.

No setor de audiovisual, o Mobilefest consolidou o desejo de criar uma rede internacional de festivais sobre produção de conteúdo móvel. Além do Telemig Arte Mov (Brasil) e do Mobifest (Canadá), já presentes no ano anterior, outros festivais foram exibidos, tais como o Movilfilm Fest (Espanha), Pocket Shorts (Inglaterra e Escócia), Pocket Films (França), Microfilmes (Portugal) e The 4th Screen (Estados Unidos). O evento contou também com o lançamento da premiação de reconhecimento dos melhores trabalhos e aplicações móveis, o I Prêmio Mobilefest, que premiou os melhores trabalhos nas categorias Foto Jornalismo, Escrita SMS (Poesia e Micro conto), Vídeos e Moblogs e Videologs.

A programação extensa do Mobilefest também incluiu: videoconferências, seminários, o Mobileactive no Mobilefest e a Mostra Expositiva Internacional. Também nesse ano, o Festival Mobilefest se tornou parte oficial do calendário para a cidade de São Paulo.

OBJETIVOS MOBILFEST

* Popularizar a tecnologia móvel de maneira a contribuir com a inclusão digital, através da generalização do conhecimento, de suas formas de utilização e das possibilidades de interação abertas por esses novos meios de comunicação.
* Oferecer ao público a primeira premiação especializada no reconhecimento de trabalhos que utilizam a tecnologia móvel.
* Promover intercâmbios culturais entre os pesquisadores e produtores nacionais e internacionais deste meio.
* Incentivar o pensamento e a produção criativa acerca das novas tecnologias visando expandir as funções de hardware e software possíveis no âmbito da tecnologia móvel.
* Estimular a produção de conteúdo no setor de tecnologia móvel no Brasil tanto em termos das produções de âmbito industrial, quanto do ponto de vista do criador independente.
* Possibilitar a participação de todos que se interessem em produzir e distribuir conteúdos através das redes móveis de comunicação.

**O MOBILEFEST é um evento transdisciplinar, quanto mais interconexão entre os conhecimentos, melhor.

ATENÇÃO:
- Abstratos precisam ter no mínimo 300 palavras
- Papers precisam ter no mínimo 1000 palavras
- Os papers enviados podem ser escritos em inglês, português, espanhol, ou italiano.
- Papers enviados estarão limitados à 45 minutos de apresentação

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF MOBILE ARTS AND CREATIVITY

Mobilefest - International Festival of Mobile Arts and Creativity is an event that aims to question and discuss the advent of the new mobile technologies in their relationships with the various segments of society, being the first International Festival of the kind.

The main objective is to provide a multifaceted and heterogenic environment of discussions, actions and creations that seek intelligent and innovative solutions, through the virtualities of the new mobile technologies, to solve or even discuss the issues that trouble contemporary societies.

The effort of the event in regards to the new communication technologies is based on the perception of its potential growth - there are more than 3 billion active mobiles nowadays. The increase of its use is not only for communication between people, but also for activities of education, social inclusion, varied artistic productions, entertainment, security, content production and distribution, socialization networks, activism actions, health, commerce, advertising, etc.

HISTORY:

The I Mobilefest was launched in November 2006, with an international seminar that took place in São Paulo, at Sesc Paulista, with live and free transmission via the Internet. In its first edition, it broached the social, cultural and aesthetic implications that the mobile ands mobile technologies have been promoting in global scale The festival discussed the main outlining of the relationships between mobile technologies (like mobile, handhelds, etc.) and the many segments of the society listed above. Besides the discussion, the event is made of technical and cultural activities and also includes an expositive exhibition and the launch of a recognition award of the best mobile works in the following catgories: SMS Writing - Micro Stories and Poetry, Photojournalism, Video, Moblogs and Videologs , the I Mobilefest Awards.

The seminar gathered 14 foreign artists and researchers and 20 Brazilian artists and specialists. The II edition of Mobilefest (2007) gathered together artists, researchers and panelists from many countries and had considerable increase in the size of its programmation. It was 5 days of seminars, 2 days of bootcamp and 30 days of exhibition. The big innovation in 2007 was the realization of simultaneous events in England (University of Westmister), in The Netherlands, (The Waag Society) and in the United States (New York University - ITP). In the audiovisual section, Mobilefest consolidated the wish to creat a network of international festivals about mobile content production. Aside from Telemig Arte Mov (Brazil) and Mobifest (Canada), already present in the previous year, other festivals were shown, such as Movilfilm Fest (Spain), Pocket Shorts (England and Scotland), Pocket Films (France), Microfilmes (Portugal) and The 4th Screen (United States). The extensive Mobilefest schedule also includeded: videoconferences, meetings, seminars, Mobileactive at Mobilefest and the International Exhibition. In this year also, Mobilefest Festival became and oficial part of the calendar for the city of São Paulo.

OBJECTIVES:
* Popularise mobile technology as to contribute to social inclusion through the generalisation of knowledge, its use and possibilities of interaction promoted by these new communication media.

* Offer the audience the an award specialised in recognising works that use mobile technology.

* Promote cultural interchange among national and international researchers and producers of this area.

* Incentive the creative thought and production about the new technologies aiming to expand the possible hardware and software functions in the mobile technology sector.

* Stimulate the production of content in the mobile technology segment in Brazil in terms of production in the industrial segment as well as from the point of view of the independent creator, thus intending to seek for balanced ways of relationships between these two players which will not mean mutual negation.

* Enable the participation of all interested in producing and distributing content through the mobile communication networks.
